India is a country of villages. Almost 60- 70 % of Indian population lives in villages. But there are only few villages in our country which can be considered as self sufficient and hence our pride. "Ralegan Siddhi" in Ahmednagar district is one of them.

The village is truly self sufficient using scientific means and resources, the villagers changed the face of Ralegan Siddhi, under the leadership of Padmashree Shri Anna Hazare. Shri Hazare had done a miracle in the village. With the help of the villagers, he started changes by prohibiting liquor, proper work layout, proper drinking facilities, united man management and rehabilitation of addicts.
